Reading the new food labels
Article Abstract:
Food processors will have to provide specific nutritional information on food labels beginning in May 1994 to comply with regulations released by the Food and Drug Administration in Jan 1993. The required information and directions for interpreting it is described.

Diabetics must manage their disease every day of their lives by strictly controlling their diet, medication and activities. There is no cure for diabetes, the fourth leading cause of death in the US. The types and symptoms of diabetes are described.
