Six Sigma availability management of information technology in the office of the chief technology officer of Washington, DC

Article Abstract:

A Six Sigma examination of Information Technology Internet Library (ITIL) service delivery Availability Management and a part of the larger ITIL framework is presented. This work is proposed to contribute to fulfillment of Office of the Chief Technology Officer's goal of derivation, and implementation of a dynamic cost and performance-modeling environment that coalesces disparate information technology (IT) data sources into a solution capable of spanning all agency operational needs.

Twins in trouble (II): Systems thinking in healthcare and education

Article Abstract:

The healthcare and education system industries are both in continuous crisis and their fundamental problems-in-common include, time frame of casualty, the culture, particularly its anti-learning concept, and the absence of accepted, appropriate outcome measurements. It concludes that dialogue on the above approaches between practitioners experts in business and experienced systems thinkers is likely to produce effective, practical and sustainable solutions.
