Speech with the weight of literature

Mario Savio is remembered for the impassioned and quiet way in which he made his speeches. He achieved notice in 1964 after making a speech at University of California Berkeley, and his speech led to the free speech movement. His delivery could elicit changes like no other person. He died Nov 6, 1996.

The T.S. Eliot problem

'T.S. Eliot, Anti-Semitism, and Literary Form' by Anthony Julius attempts to demonstrate how the author's works offended Jewish people. His arguments are weak and contradictory and lack any sense of morality. Julius does not take into account the influence of Eliot's and anti-Semitic works on people.

Who's afraid of Arnold Bennett?

Few people have likely heard of the author Arnold Bennett in part because fellow author Virginia Woolf so criticized his writings that people lost interest in reading his works. Woolf's criticism is unwarranted, and this is evidenced in Bennett's work 'The Old Wives' Tale.'
