The Ground Floor

Article Abstract:

Sundance is a home builder who offers zero percent mortgages. The buyer must put one-third of the home's price down and then proceeds to make payments for a specified number of years. At that time, usually five to ten years, he owns the house free and clear. This mortgage alternative is becoming popular again because problems have surfaced with the adjustable-rate mortgages in the current interest rate environment. New rules about adjustable-rate mortgages are imminent.

The Ground Floor

Article Abstract:

Rising interest rates have made many lenders fussy about who they finance. Many syndications with a lot of money are very interested in real estate. Beyond syndicators there appear to be many sources of cash for property investment. Major pension funds are returning to real estate as investments. Many real estate tax shelters are expected to suffer with the new tax bill.
