The effectiveness of graphical presentation for information extraction: a cumulative experimental approach

Article Abstract:

The relative strengths and weaknesses of various graphical presentation formats for different types of elementary data extraction tasks are investigated. Since data extraction accuracy is not significantly affected by presentation format, the match between question type and format in terms of time performance is evaluated. The results of the three experiments are integrated and discussed in terms of the predictive value of the anchoring frameworks.

Global measures of information service quality: a cross-national study

Article Abstract:

A global framework that outlines the significance of procedural and behavioral dimensions in the planning, evaluation and implementation of information services (IS) quality is introduced. The results of a cross-national study of psychometric properties associated with IS quality support previous findings that indicate the existence of Asian definitions of IS service quality that differ from definitions in the US and Netherlands.

Manufacturing strategy: testing the cumulative model in a multiple country context

Article Abstract:

Study results support a cumulative model for developing manufacturing capabilities. That model suggests that highly performing firms build capabilities one upon the next, with quality being the base capability, and compete on a multiple-capability basis. The study found that data obtained from Korean firms, as opposed to that obtained from American and European firms, best support the model.
