The effects of environment, knowledge attribute, organizational climate, and firm characteristics on knowledge sourcing decisions

Article Abstract:

Research on the influence of corporate structure and behavior on knowledge management and decision-making is presented. Findings show that knowledge tends to develop internally if a firm's environment is a) less dynamic and munificent; b) fosters high levels of autonomy and intention; and c) contains sufficient capabilities and abundant development experience.

Negotiating innovation: product renewal as the outcome of a complex bargaining process

Article Abstract:

The authors posit that innovation can result from a repetitive, non-linear, multi-actor negotiation process that produces collectively acceptable outcomes that are not necessarily either optimal or suboptimal. Environment-oriented product development in a multinational firm is used as an illustration.

The effects of knowledge attribute, alliance characteristics, and absorptive capacity on knowledge transfer performance

Article Abstract:

Studies show that knowledge transfer performance is influenced positively by a company's absorptive capacity and the explicitness of knowledge. Adjustment and trust also have a positive influence; however, conflict produces a curvilinear effect.
