Article Abstract:

The provisions in the free-trade agreement with U.S. are discussed. It is observed that the disadvantages on account of stipulations relating to intellectual properties, foreign investment, etc. far outweigh the other benefits from the agreement such as harmonization of laws and standards. Businessmen are advised to scrutinize other provisions as well to accurately assess the impact of the free-trade agreement.
