Acquisition of companies is touted as a measure for achieving economies of scale. However, this is not always true. A manager considering an acquisition should ask himself why he thinks that such acquisition will be of help. From the simple three letter word, a whole lot of other issues that can predict the viability of such acquisition can be drawn.
