Threat to Hard Assets

Article Abstract:

Art and collectibles have begun to be popular with investors in the latter half of 1983. Investors and dealers in hard assets have formed a trade association, the Industry Council for Tangible Assets (ICTA). But there has been an increasing proliferation of government regulations designed to discourage investing in hard assets. Hard assets are still recovering from a drop in values that occurred after a rally in 1980.

Suvival and Profitability: The roles of experience and intangible assets in foreign subsidiary performance

Article Abstract:

Research into 641 Japanese firms regarding the financial performance as it effects foreign subsidiary survival is given. The results show that survival and profitability are directly effected by host country experience.
