Toward a strategic theory of risk premium: moving beyond CAPM
Article Abstract:
Strategy researchers are advised to not rely solely on a single formulation of the capital asset pricing model since the finance field has yet to sort through different competing methodologies. Beta-based measurements are recommended for financial research studies since these measurements are well-suited to test the sensitivity of financial research results with measures such as the market-adjusted returns and total risk.
