Scott Seamans discovered clog used in day spas, by a Canadian plastics company, made of resin called croslite, waterproof, lightweight, resisted bacteria and fungus, softened with body heat to mold to the contour of the foot, making it comfortably fit. Seamans put a strap across the heel, made holes for air and drainage, figured would be ideal for boating, along with his partners Lyndon Hanson started a company whose market value is $ 1.09 billion and still growing and people use this footwear even in public.

A performance artist named Vito Acconci met Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) engineers and it resulted in a certain hesitation and repetition of words and phrases that had a way of knocking things off conventional footing. There was a verbal manifestation of a design philosophy that the architect defined in terms like flow and overlay, when Vito Acconci and his proteges spent a frenetic two days with people from the campus.

The ways in which companies can provide what customers really want are analyzed and it is concluded that the companies focus on their Power ratings. The concept of saving the time of the consumer while reducing provider cost can be applied to a wide range of activities like repair and maintenance services, retail and healthcare.
