Who benefits from a super bind?

Article Abstract:

Changes in superannuation, or pension fund, law will allow fund members to make "binding nominations" to make it easier to distribute their benefits in the most tax-efficient and secure method. Under existing law, the trustee for the member may pay death benefits to dependants or legal representatives not named in the superannuation fund nomination form. A binding nomination is valid only under certain conditions, including timeframes and distribution proportions.

The corporate conscience

Article Abstract:

Many Australian corporations have developed foundations and social programs that benefit the welfare of their communities by contributing cash grants, gifts, mentoring, job training, and scholarships. The corporations do more than just write checks; employees volunteer time and expertise. As a result, the corporation benefits from being a good corporate citizen, while the community benefits from the volunteer activities.

In hedging, structure is the thing

Article Abstract:

For certain risk levels, hedge funds can attain higher returns than asset classes, while lowering the risk to the portfolio. The key is understanding the nature of a hedge fund and investing with knowledge. Investing in a hedge fund is actually investing in specific strategies rather than a single asset. Retailers are the next target for hedge fund investment, as 80% of the risk is associated with the market itself.
