Wizard paints a portrait: online mortgage hunters tend to be more cautious than other borrowers, but then they are taking out bigger loans

Online borrowers in Australia take out an average mortgage of A$235,000, compared with an average of A$207,000 for offline borrowers, according to Wizard Financial Services Group. Online home loans take an average of 85 days to close, while traditional home loans take only 52 days.

Wheat farmers are wired for work: online technology will streamline the industry in time for the AWB float

Article Abstract:

AWB, formerly the Australian Wheat Board, has invested in excess of A$2 million to develop an internet-based trading system. Using an online system to allow 45,000 wheat farmers to trade with AWB could eventually cut the cost of producing a tonne of wheat by as much as A$10.
