Woodside's moment of truth

Australia's biggest pure oil and gas company, Woodside Petroleum did falter when it, along with its partners spent $200 million on the Sunrise gas project that lies between Australia and East Timor. A candid admission of the folly by its chief executive Don Voelte is a step towards progress if Voelte's plans for the company are anything to go by. Voelte is all for responsible people who do not hesitate to take tough decisions.
