Christian Wulff, the 37-year-old leader of Lower Saxony's Christian Democrats, is regarded by some as a potential challenger to the long-time CDU leader and German chancellor, Helmut Kohl. Wulff and certain other young CDU politicians are willing to air their differences with Kohl in public.
