The articles attempts to convince that a robust analysis together with the analysis of measurability of functions set-valued mappings is able to handle the so-called ill-behaved (GSIP). At least one can hope to get course approximations of a solution or a minimizing sequence by using some suitable global optimization procedure.

Solving the semismooth equivalence problem

Article Abstract:

The article presents a special semismooth system of equations and a suitable theoretical and numerical approach for its solution. Exploiting the combinatorial structure of max-type functions and by the introduction of index-sets one can state that a solution can be gained by Newton methods.
