A diffusion approximation model for managing cash in firms: an alternative approach to the Miller-Orr model
Article Abstract:
The article discusses the cash management problem of firms in a two-asset setting, which was originally proposed by Miller and Orr [2]. A diffusion approximation model was formulated to determine the optimal paper control limit and the optimal return point, which minimize the daily average cost of managing the cash.
