Logistics is a significant economic aspect for a company. Heuristic algorithms to examine the problem of vehicle selection between a private truck and an outside carrier to transport goods from warehouse to customer are presented.

A study is conducted to examine problems associated with the vehicle location-routing. A classification algorithm to solve these problems is developed using combinatorial optimization techniques.
