A two-stage multiobjective scheduling model for (faculty-course-time) assignments

Article Abstract:

A multiobjective, two-stage zero-one goal programming model for scheduling faculty-course-time assignments is presented. The model, which has been implemented by the United Arab Emirates University, assigns faculty members to courses prior to scheduling the faculty-course combinations. In addition, it represents faculty members, courses and faculty preferences using the rows, columns and elements of a matrix.

The analytic hierarchy process and multiobjective 0-1 faculty course assignment

Article Abstract:

A general model for the faculty-course assignment problem that is a zero-one nonlinear multiobjective programming problem is discussed. A newly developed three step process that consists of the analytic hierarchy process, scalarization and the subgradient method is used to solve a nonconvex multiobjective faculty course assignment problem.
