The Writers and Readers series is filled with exaggerations and un-nuanced political agendas. The important story of African heritage deserves a more objective telling than the five books, which are being sold during Black History Month at Giant Food Stores, provide.

Bill Clinton may be sincere in his desire to have a positive effect on US race relations, but policies that focus solely on race do little to address the issue. Making issues such as education racial obscures the problem, when it affects the population as a whole.
