ABG: Top Quality Pascal-Based System for Business Graphics
Article Abstract:
Apple II Business Graphics (ABG) is a PASCAL-based system for business graphics. The system produces full color graphics, and comes with a manual that is well written and indexed. Data is stored in a POINTS file, and through the use of an INTERCHANGE command a variety of files can be converted into ABG POINTS files. Due to the importance of labels in business graphics, the POINTS file can contain data in which the horizontal or vertical values can be either numbers or labels. Requirements for running ABG include a 64K Apple and two disk drives. A printer and digital plotter are useful peripherals, but not required. A sample graph is included.

Document Debugging Disappoints
Article Abstract:
Disc-o-Doc from M.D. Software is supposed to let users undelete disc files, change DOS commands, change programs while they are on disc, remove DOS from a disc, offer the ability to copy copy-protected software and provide error correction that is automatic. In reality Disc-o-Doc does little more than help those who want to copy copy-protected software, and then poorly so because the program has several missing error codes. One of the program's greatest failings is that it forces users to perform too many complicated manual operations, operations which are automatic in other similar programs. Its documentation is also weak.
