Article Abstract:
The Dingo all-protected carrier vehicle from Krauss-Maffei Wegmann is based on a standard Mercedes-Benz UNIMOG 4x4 truck chassis type U100L or U1550L. It features an all-body armoring that protects occupants from small-arms fire, shell splinters and mines. It is armed with a 7.62mm machine gun and powered by a Mercedes-Benz diesel engine coupled to an automatic transmission. Standard features include centralized tire- pressure regulation system; air-conditioning; power steering; reversing camera; and anti-skid braking system.

Panhard VBL
Article Abstract:
The Panhard Vehicule Blinde Leger from Societe de Constructions Mecaniques Panhard et Levassor was developed in the late 1980s to answer the French Army's requirement for a new light reconnaissance/anti-tank vehicle. The Panhard is fully amphibious and propels through water by using a single propeller mounted under the rear of the hull, at a maximum speed of 4.5 km/h. Standard features of the Panhard include NBC protection system and passive night-vision equipment.

VAB APC
Article Abstract:
The Vehicule de l'Avant Blinde (VAB) from Giat Industries was originally developed to meet the armored personnel carrier requirements of the French Army. The 4x4 version used by the French Army is armed with a 7.62 or 12.7mm machine gun but the export version can be armed with a variety of weapons, including a turret-mounted 20mm cannon. The VAB is fully- amphibious and propels itself in water through two water jets mounted on either side of the hull rear.
