AUSTRIA: ALPENMILCH SALES UP, PROFITS DOWN

Article Abstract:

In year 2000 Alpenmilch Salzburg saw its profit on ordinary activities fall from Sch 16.5mn to Sch 14mn, largely due to higher prices of raw materials and energy. With increased exports to Italy and Germany, turnover grew by Sch 50mn to Sch 1.08bn. Export share was 28%, with sales in Italy contributing Sch 127mn.

AUSTRIA: HIGHER PROFITS FOR NOM

Article Abstract:

The Austrian dairy company NOM saw a 14.35% increase in turnover to EUR 191mn in the first 9 months of 2000. Profit on ordinary activities more than trebled to EUR 3.66mn.
