AUSTRIA: CINEMA IN MUSEUM

Article Abstract:

Sch 200mn will be spent on the construction of a new building for the Museum of Technology in Vienna by state-owned Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft (BIG). The complex that will be built between summer 2000 and 2001 will incorporate a cinema with 350 seats that will be run by IMAX. It will replace an existing cinema next to the museum. Annually about 400,000 viewers see nature-related films in the cinema.

AUSTRIA: MUSEUM PROJECT IN SALZBURG

Article Abstract:

Sch 300mn is to be spent on the construction of a new museum in Salzburg. The museum for classical-modern art, Museum am Monchsberg, is to be built between 2000 and 2002. The architects are Zwink, Hoff & Friedrich. The Austrian government contributes Sch 120mn to the costs.
