AUSTRIA: NEW, TRENDY COFFEE SHOPS

The Movenpick group is to set up a chain of Cliccadou espresso bars in Austria. The first one has recently been opened in Karntner Strasse in Vienna. The Swiss-style espresso bar is said to be a new, trendy coffee shop. In addition to espresso, which costs Sch 23 a cup, Cliccadou offers several kinds of specialities, such as coffee flavoured with banana, orange or vanilla. The product range includes also Naan Bread, a sandwich speciality from the Far East.

Austria: Bartenstein wants more flexible working hours
Article Abstract:
The Austrian secretary of state for trade and industry, Martin Bartenstain is encouraging an increase in the maximum hours people are allowed to work. He wants more flexibility in working hours. For some of the changes being pushed for by Bartenstein, legal changes are necessary. He faces opposition from the trade unions.
