Adventurous spirits: Craig Downie and Jo da Silva's worldwide adventures led them both back to their great loves - architecture and engineering

Article Abstract:

Jo da Silva, associate at Ove Arup & Partners, collaborated with Craig Downie of Studio Downie, on Hat Hill, a gallery and exhibition building for a woodland sculpture park. Da Silva worked for two years with Fosters on Chek Lap Kok airport in Hong Kong, before settling backing into the London office. Downie spent three years at Terry Farrell, moving to Fosters before setting up practice in England in 1993. Downie and da Silva have also collaborated on the Image Bank and are to undertake a feasibility study of new facilities at the Royal Geographical Society HQ.
