Enhancing Europe's equities

The European currency crisis has had a strong impact on the continent's stock markets. In the UK, withdrawal from the European exchange rate mechanism (ERM) has boosted share prices on the London exchange. The French market is also very sensitive to German interest rates.

Nerves, indigestion or worse
Article Abstract:
Stock markets around the world are so weak that new equity issues will likely attract little interest. Falling interest rates are making taking on debt more attractive. Corporate bond issues in the debt markets have done very well.
