Lead ban on the way - but no alternative in sight

Denmark is likely to ban the use of lead in the fishing gear. The implications it has for the fishing equipment industry are discussed. The suitability of other materials like Zinc and Tin are also discussed in this context.

Canada's four Lobster Fishing Areas, i.e., LFA 33, 34, 36 and 38, have been opened for winter. Statistics of the landings at the four LFA's in the year 2003 are presented. Information of other LFAs is also furnished.
