Australia gets more visitors

Article Abstract:

The Australian government continues to harness valuable benefits from the travel sector, as more and more tourists prefer to visit the country. Statistics gathered from an annual government survey revealed that the number of international visitors totalled 3.95 million as of Mar 31, 1999, representing a 2% increase compared to the previous year. Such a rise in the volume of tourists is also coupled with a considerable increase in visitor expenditures, which rose to as much as 14% during the period mentioned.

The Bintan Island in Indonesia has evolved as one of the country's primary tourist spots. Situated amidst the Riau Archipelago, this enchanting island boasts of a number of world-class vacation resorts and golf courses. These courses not only provides visitors a different golfing experience, but allows them to enjoy the natural beauty of the place at considerable prices as well. Majority of the vistas found in the area are elegantly designed and are equipped with open-air living areas.
