Austria: Paper industry profits from Libro's bankruptcy
Article Abstract:
According to Anton Stahrlinger, director of paper retailing group PBS, which comprises Skribo and Bueroprofil, the paper retailing sector has profited from the bankruptcy of book and paper retail chain Libro. Stahrlinger claimed that sales in the school stationery branch of PBS have increased by 20% in 2001 and in addition to this the collapse of Libro has meant the end of a price war that Stahrlinger described as "senseless". Stahrlinger denied that he has any interest in buying Libro.
