BP hurt by low output, prices: earnings decline 22%; spending outlook lifted amid problems in U.S

Fourth quarter net profits have dropped by 22% for British Petroleum Company PLC. Higher natural gas prices and lower oil production contributed to the decline. The ongoing investigation into the company's U.S. operations is also affecting profit outlook .

France Telecom revenue rose, but profit declined in first half.

Article Abstract:

France Telecom SA enjoyed an increase in revenue in the first half but saw a 56% decline in net profit from the same period last year. The company still forcasts growth of 3-5 percent in 2004 and 2005.
