Shell to pay $4.6 million in severance, pension to ousted executive

Article Abstract:

Walter van de Vijner and Philip Watts, executives at Royal Dutch-Shell Group of Cos., have been held accountable for the petrolium company's overstatement of its oil and natural gas reserves. Shell has agreed on severance packages for both executives who have since been let go from the company. Investigations by authorities into the overstatement are currently be conducted by authorities in the U.S. and Europe.
