Spanish passenger road transport company Auto Res has announced its interest in participating in the privatisation of state-owned transport company Enatcar. Auto Res says despite the fact that it does not have all the details of the privatisation yet, it can state at this point that its proposal will be based on three factors: maintenance of the entire structure of the company; the establishment of a serious business plan in the passenger transport market; and the availability of the best technical and human resources possible.

3i entra en el grupo vasco Kider con 2,250 millones

A minority stake in Spanish commercial furniture manufacturer Kider, based in Alava, has been acquired for Pta 2,250mn by British venture capital company 3i. The Kider group is comprised of the firms Kime, Kider, Mebunik and Inan. In 1997 the group's turnover was Pta 9,500mn and is expected to reach Pta 10,000mn in 1998. Kider has production plants in Vizcaya and Alava and exports 40% of production. Kider has a 25% share of the commercial furniture market in Spain, which includes metal shelving for supermarkets.
