Article Abstract:

The drive for increasing acquiescence to the corporate culture is not as useful as previously considered and may not be beneficial for business. The corporate culture is used, by many multinationals, as a way of controlling their employees. It can also prevent the creation of a more flexible management system to deal with the changing business environment. Multinational corporations need dissenting voices to constantly challenge the practices and procedures within their organisations. Diversity of ideas enhances a company's ability to cope with change and to be innovative.
