Big brothers: trade unions
Article Abstract:
The merging of British labor unions to make mega-unions is out of step with reality. Giant unions should demerge since the method of collective bargaining is changing. The emphasis is now on local agreement rather than bargaining through the big national unions.

Second-hand markets are becoming common in Britain as more people look for cheap goods and antiques. Scavengers often go door-to-door to buy second-hand items, and those are then bought by dealers who sell them at markets.
