Scaling of sedimentation rates and drowning of reefs and carbonate platforms
Article Abstract:
A model has been constructed to allow researchers amd scientists to calculate the rate of carbonate sedimentation and the determined length of time. This model is immune to problems of ratio correlation while regressing to primary variables. Tests have confirmed that the scaling trend has real physical meaning and can be used to predict the growth rate of reefs and carbonate platforms. Predicted trends indicate that dispersion of the common term does not dominate the regression trend.
