Born globals, the choice of globalization strategy, and the market's perception of peformance

Article Abstract:

The study examined the attributes of born global firms that affected their manner of entering the international market. A logistic regression analysis was used for the study. Announcements of international acquisitions and expansions of born global firms cause a positive response with firms having higher liquidity engaging more in joint ventures instead of acquisitions.

"A roasted duck can still fly away": a case study of technology, nationality, culture and the rapid and early internationalization of the firm

Article Abstract:

The study focused on the significance of national and cultural factors that hinder early internationalization. Avaro, a startup Korean company that provides mobile payment solutions, was used in the case study. It was found that opportunities for rapid and early internationalization are influenced by attributes of technology products and markets.

Firms' degree of born-globalness, international entrepreneurial orientation and export performance

Article Abstract:

The study examined the effects of being a born-global firm on a company's performance. To gather data, questionnaires were sent to 185 exporting companies in Finland. The study found out that companies which were considered as true born-globals performed better in terms of exports.
