Breaking the mould

Article Abstract:

The Indonesian Bank, Mandiri that was created by the merger of four banks, who were considered to be the largest lender in the country, were hit hard by the Asian financial crisis of 1998, but it is making efforts to create an image as being a corruption-free institution. More than thirty percent of the tops rung in the bank are not from any of the banks that were merged and this ensures restoration of public confidence while innovative banking methods may help the bank being accepted by the general public.
