CIBC kiskc off $33M review

Toronto, Ontario-based Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC) is reviewing several of its advertising agency assignments, including a $33- million media buying business. The bank is also considering to add a number of marketing firms by spring 2000. CIBC also plans to hire a search consultant in Oct 1999 and will possibly be hiring a branding consulting firm to handle its branding needs.

Davis quits MacLaren CD job
Article Abstract:
MacLaren McCann executive VP, creative director Rick Davis has left the company in 1999 to hold the same position at a newly formed, MacLaren- backed branding consultancy firm called Turbulence Communications. He held the post at MacLaren for four years. Joining Davis at Turbulence are Geoff Arnoldi, who will serve as president, and David Duncan, who will be executive VP of planning.
