Article Abstract:
Computer Maintenance Corporation (CMC) commenced its operations by servicing installations of IBM and later that of other manufacturers. CMC's 5 main strategic business units are Customer Services, System Integration, Indonet, Educational & Training and International Operations. The Customer Service Division is its major source of revenue. CMC is the leader in third party maintenance. It got the Techies '97 Award. Its Systems Integration Division implemented the VECTOR for a number of stock exchanges. The International Business Division consolidated its position in USA and is handling projects in various countries. The Indonet Division is likely to venture into Internet service and become a provider. CMC's exports recorded a growth of 54 percent at Rs55.60 crore in 1997-98. It plans to focus on systems integration and software development. It expects to earn an income of Rs650 crore by 2000 AD. (uh)

Rising shares in the airport business

ABN AMRO has built up its reputation as an adviser to governments on the sale of their airports to the private sector. Among its prominent transactions were the sale of the Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and 14 other airports. The bank provided advice to Singapore Changi on its purchase of an 8% stake in Auckland International Airport and facilitated the sale of 20% of Venice Marco Polo Airport to a financial group headed by Generali/Banca Antonveneta.
