Case study of statistically estimating minimum makespan for flow line in scheduling problems
Article Abstract:
Lower bounds are used to evaluate the performance of heuristics for solving combinational minimization problems. Extreme value theory is used to construct confidence-interval estimates of the minimum makespan achievement when scheduling nonsimilar groups of jobs on a two-stage flow line.
