Cdn Tire leverages emissions tests

Article Abstract:

Canadian Tire Corporation Ltd, an auto services firm based in Toronto, Ontario, is taking advantage of the Drive Clean program being implemented by Ontario's Ministry of Environment. As part of its plan, the company is installing testers and trained staff at its 59 garages to service motorists needing to meet government standards for car emissions. The company is also negotiating with the Ministry to co-sponsor the program.

An increase in sale of low-carb food in the United States as compared to Canada due to diet-consciousness is reported. It is suggested that if marketers want to show their concern about the weight of Canadians, they should resist the temptation to counter anti-carb messages with their own public relation (PR) messages.
