Norex wants to enter Paramo
Article Abstract:
Norex Petroleum (NP) (Canada), petroleum group, plans to acquire the petrochemical firm Paramo (Pardubice, Czech Republic) in 2000. NP would like Paramo to specialize in VAT products. It wants to ensure stable petroleum supplies for Paramo from the Siberian deposits of its subsidiary Yugraneft (Russia). NP saw a total turnover of 230 mil USD in 1999.

Paramo reports loss

Paramo (Pardubice, Czech Republic), petroleum refining company, saw a loss of CEK 148.4 mil in 1-3Q 2000. During 1-3Q 1999 the company generated a gross profit of CEK 92.4 mil.
