Clive Beddoe, president, CEO and executive chairman of the discount airline for western Canada, WestJet, may be approachable, but he is very focused, too. The 'little airline that could' showed quarterly profit increases when competitor Air Canada showed quarterly losses. WestJet was founded in 1996; Calgary's Creative Intelligence Agency has been the airline's agency since the beginning. WestJet went public in 1999 and intends to remain profitable and competitive and approachable.

Manufacturers of branded products are increasingly seeing the advantages of marketing to the food service industry, particularly in restaurants, airplanes and trains as well as in institutional cafeterias. This is specially prevalent as branding becomes a major trend in the food industry. Manufacturers such as Nestle Canada, Campbell's Soups, Tetley Tea and Tropicana Products are beginning to intensify their efforts in marketing to food establishments.
