Article Abstract:
The US and USSR spent trillions in 1996 dollars to build up their nuclear arsenals, and now the cost of arms reduction may be as high. Stockpiles, dismantling schedules and the costs of dismantling weapon, storing and disposing of fuel and keeping arms out of dangerous hands are discussed.
