Creating corporate wealth in the north west

Article Abstract:

Corporate strategy in north west England has to take into account a number of factors such as rationalization, a move to core business activities, and increased competition and automation. Companies need to use a long-term perspective in order to build up their wealth. This means addressing the fundamentals, since short-term measures to boost profits may harm businesses in the long run. A focus on products and quality is needed, and certain factors can strengthen a company's position, such as patent protection.

Building competitive advantage to create corporate wealth

Article Abstract:

Protecting and creating corporate wealth must now be considered against a background of weaker economic activity, with companies focusing on core businesses and on dealing with strong international competition. It is vital that companies protect shareholder wealth already built up, and in some cases it may be necessary to dispose of the business in order to do this. Corporate wealth can only be generated if the company focuses on creating and securing a long-term competitive advantage.
