Cross-border mergers and acquisitions: a response to environmental transformation

Article Abstract:

A study of eight Canadian firms that are affected by globalization and technological advances is presented. The resultant higher valuations of the assets by the foreign managers who had already evolved internationally competitive strategies and other benefits from the cross-border mergers and acquisitions are discussed.

A structure-performance relationship in international joint ventures: a comparative analysis

Article Abstract:

A comparative analysis of international joint ventures between developed and developing countries is presented. The comparison relates to structure of the joint venture and capital market performances. The study was carried out on 700 JVs of American firms with non-American firms.

Indigenous land rights, entrepreneurship, and economic development in Canada: "Opting-in" to the global economy

Article Abstract:

A study on the indigenous groups, particularly in Canada, in the context of land rights, social entrepreneurship and economic development, is presented. These indigenous people added social value by negotiating mastery of their traditional lands from the national government.
