DENMARK: DFDS FINALISES DEAL WITH LITHUANIAN COMPANY

DFDS Tor Line has finalised the deal with the Lithuanian government regarding the privatisation of the Lithuanian shipping company Lisco, that has now been divided into two companies. DFDS owns a 76.36% stake in the part that is named AB Lisco Baltic Service. The purchase price was US$50mn.

DENMARK: SVITZER TO ACQUIRE WIJSMULLER GROUP

Svitzer, A.P. Moller's shipping company, is to finalise the acquisition of its Dutch rival Wijsmuller Group, today. Svitzer's chief executive Keld Balle-Mortensen says the decision to acquire Wijsmuller has been welcomed by clients. Svitzer is open for further acquisitions.

DENMARK: SCANDILINES INTERESTED IN NORDO LINK

Scandilines, the Danish shipping company, is said to be interested in taking over the Swedish shipping company Nordo Link following a failure to buy the Lithuanian shipping company Lisco. Scandilines declines to comment this information.
