DENMARK/SWEDEN: ALLIANCE IN FEEDING STUFF SECTOR

The Danish feeding stuff companies Hedegaard and DLG have entered a strategic alliance with the Swedish company SLR. DLG and SLR, which both are co-operative societies owned by farmers in the Denmark and Sweden respectively, acquires a 30% stake in Hedegaard, and will retain at least a 24% stake in the next two and a half year period. There may be synergies between the Swedish food producer Cerealia, which is owned by SLR, and Hedegaard Foods, which is a producer of pasta etc., the paper writes.

DENMARK/GERMANY: JOINT VENTURE IN MOBILE PHONES
Article Abstract:
The Danish company Damgaard, which is a subsidiary of the border trade company Fleggaard, and the two German companies FreeCom, a subsidiary of Debitel, and BHS Holding will establish a joint venture, which will sell GSM phones and offer maintenance of mobile phones. The company will be the largest mobile phone distributor in Europe, the sales of which will total over DM 1bn (DKr 3.82bn).
