Daimler unions vow to fight bid: offer for Chrysler by private equity would be opposed

The acquisition of DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler Group by private equity firm Cerberus Capital Management L.P. is being opposed by labor unions in North America and Germany. Backed by German labor, o fficials from United Auto Workers and Canadian Auto Workers are concerned about the job losses that c ould result from the acquisition.
